Ministry of Mentoring
Big Brothers Big Sisters builds partnerships with faith-based congregations to serve as mentors to local children. Your congregation can make a positive lifelong impact on children in our community through the simple act of friendship.
Opportunities for Ministry
Community-Based Program
You don’t have to change your life to change theirs! In as little as four hours a month, you can make a dramatic difference in the life of a child. Volunteers have the flexibility to plan activities at a time that is convenient for both the volunteer and the child. Couples and families can also be matched with a child. What you do together is up to you whether you like to play ball, go on a hike, watch a movie or just hang out the choice is yours and the child and volunteer both reap the rewards of the relationship.

School-Based Program (Study Connection)
Our school-based program provides an opportunity for a Big Brother or a Big Sister to be matched to a Little in a local school. Together the volunteer and child may spend time
going over homework, throwing a ball, eating a snack or sharing stories.
