A BIG thank you to all our BFKS supporters!
We had an awesome time Saturday, March 24th, 2012 rocking out at Rolling Thunder Lanes. Costumed bowlers cheered for prizes, strikes and most enthusiastically for the contributions they raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado. For over 40 years, Bowl for Kids' Sake has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies throughout the country, serving as our premier fundraising “Thank You” party. Upwards of $20 million is raised, nationwide, through this effort, along with the hopes and aspirations of children who deserve an opportunity for a better future. Because of Bowl for Kids' Sake, more Bigs and Littles can be paired up, more friendships can be gained and improved outlooks on life can be started.
In 2012, this important event raised $52,000 to support local children in La Plata and Archuleta Counties! These funds allow Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado to continue their critical work of matching positive, caring adult mentors with children facing adversity. Each time Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs a child with a role model, we start something incredible: a one-to-one relationship built on trust and friendship that can blossom into a future of unlimited potential.
