August 2012 - 16th Annual Dos Mosca Fly Fishing Tournament!
August 2012 will be the 16th year for our Dos Mosca fly fishing fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado, and it continues to improve with age as a premiere, quality event attracting anglers from across the country.
We want to express a big 2011 event thank you for "Starting Something" for local kids! In August 2011, our 15th year was a great success with the Dos Mosca. Thank you to all of you for fishing, donating, and sponsoring the event this past August. You guys are awesome! And check out Ann Butler's article in the Durango Herald about the 2011 event! Because of your support, this important Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado fundraiser was able to raise over $65,000! WOW - Now that's a Whopper!

 Three great things set Dos Mosca apart from other such happenings:
(1) The quality – we deliberately limit the annual participation to 32 anglers.
Otherwise, we’d run out of quality waters, guides, fish and space in our select environment.
(2) The surroundings – where else can you fly fish such gorgeous waters in such diverse territory for two wonderful, competitive days?
(3) The beneficiary – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado is the proud beneficiary of this wonderful event. BBBS has been providing youth mentoring programs in Southwest Colorado for 27 years. In that time, we have served over 2,000 children. Our vision is that all children achieve success in life. We accomplish that through our mission of providing children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Our ultimate objective is to keep kids in school, off drugs and out of jail and help lay the foundation for a successful and happy life.
